A cake for two of my friends' birthdays that happened over the summer. I love making flourless chocolate cakes, they really are just absolute heaven. And now since I know so many people that are gluten-free, this makes the perfect treat! I remembered while I was icing the cake that I had Nasturtiums blooming, so I picked a few and they looked awesome on the cake, don't you think?
So I went out for ride the other day with Mike. Now I have been lovin' my new Giant Trance2, it just rides so smooth and rolls so quick...well this particular day the bike road smooth, rolled quick, and I hit the ground hard, three times for that matter...and on that note I won't be wearing a dress on the first day of school, I'll just have to wait until my rainbow of bruises and scrapes heal...
but I will ride again...:)
So, one of my favorite activities from
the Summer Program at MVM was this...

...thanks to Amy at Let's Explore for the idea, these kids had so much fun excavating little treasures from the ice.
A great activity for our lesson on Antarctica :)
